New Silvereye Painting

New Silvereye Painting

Silvereyes are small birds, found abundantly across large parts of Australia. Their olive, chartreuse and grey plumage can vary slightly depending on their location; those in Western Australia having a greener back than the more grey backed birds further east.

In recent decades, silvereyes and other small birds have largely been driven away from city gardens by larger birds, encouraged by human activity causing habitat loss.

I have a very long 'birds to paint' list and always welcome special requests, those of which I can prioritise.
