Forty years in graphic design. Twenty years building websites. A career that began with lead type on a Heidelberg letterpress and has found its way, quite naturally, to building Shopify stores for artists and independent businesses.

I'm not an agency. I'm a working designer and artist—someone who has spent four decades learning what good design actually does, and why it matters.

  • WHY WORK WITH ME

    I understand what running a small business actually involves.
    I run two ecommerce businesses of my own. I know the reality of needing a website that sells, of managing product photography, of wondering why customers aren't finding you. That experience quietly informs everything I build.

    My background is perhaps broader than you'd expect.
    Before going independent, I worked in design studios in London and Sydney—on projects for Marks & Spencer, Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, Qantas, and the Sydney 2000 Olympics. That grounding in commercial design, brand standards, and working to deadline has never really left me.

    I understand creative businesses from the inside.
    I'm also an artist. If you're a maker, a creative, or someone selling original work, finding a web designer who instinctively understands how to present that kind of work is less straightforward than it sounds. It's something I care about getting right.

I also offer advice and improvements for existing Shopify sites, if a full rebuild isn't the right move for you yet. Competitively priced, typically less than you'd pay a larger agency or studio.

    Once your website is handed over, I offer optional ongoing support at a competitive rate—useful if you'd rather spend your time running your business than troubleshooting a navigation menu.


    A NOTE ON WHAT I DON'T DO

    I build exclusively on Shopify. I don't offer custom coding or builds on other platform—and I'll always say so upfront rather than take on a project that isn't the right fit. For most small ecommerce businesses, Shopify is genuinely the right choice. If it isn't right for your situation, I'll tell you that too.
