The rose robin (Petroica rosea) is a small, insect-eating bird endemic to eastern Australia, recognisable by the male's vibrant rose-pink breast and dark grey plumage. It inhabits wet forests and rainforests, breeding between September and January and constructing an intricate cup-shaped nest of moss, spider webs, and lichen high in the tree canopy.
