Azure Kingfisher Gouache Painting

The Azure Kingfisher, scientific name Alcedo azurea, is found in northern and eastern Australia and in parts of Southeast Asia and some Pacific Islands. It is renowned for its vibrant, iridescent plumage of deep blues turquoise and oranges. This small, striking bird is often seen perched near freshwater streams and rivers, into which it dives skillfully to catch small fish and insects.

Gouache paint and colour pencil on high quality 300gsm watercolour paper.

A4 — 20cm x 29.7cm.
