Eastern Spinebill Original Gouache Painting

Eastern Spinebill Painting

The eastern spinebill (Acanthorhynchus tenuirostris) is a small, energetic honeyeater found across south-eastern Australia – in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria – inhabiting forests, shrublands and suburban gardens alike. About 15cm in length, it has a slender, curved bill perfect for probing flowers, feeding on both nectar and insects with remarkable agility.
