Hoopoe Gouache Painting

An original unframed artwork of a Hoopoe by Amanda Gosse.

The Eurasian hoopoe, scientific name Upupa epops, is easily identified by its flamboyant crest, apricot  upper body and black and white striped wings and tail. Found across Europe and Asia, these gorgeous birds are also occasionally seen in the south of the UK but do not breed here.

Gouache paint and colour pencil on high quality 300gsm watercolour paper.

A4 — 20cm x 29.7cm.

Signed on the front. A certificate of authenticity will be provided with the artwork. The painting will arrive in a protective cellophane envelope.
