A study of a New Holland Honeyeater, an original gouache painting by Amanda Gosse.
The New Holland Honeyeater, scientific name Phylidonyris novaehollandiae, is a nectar and insect feeding bird, distributed across southern parts of Australia. It is easily identified by its striking plumage, which is black, white and brown streaked, with bright yellow panels on the wings and tail.
Gouache paint and colour pencil on high quality 300gsm watercolour paper.
A4 — 21cm x 29.7cm.
Signed on the front. A certificate of authenticity will be provided with the artwork. The painting will arrive unframed, in a protective cellophane envelope.
