An original unframed artwork of a Stonechat by Amanda Gosse.

The Stonechat, scientific name Saxicola rubicola, is a small bird found in a range of habitats, such as farmland, coastal, heathland and rural countryside. The female's head and wings are dark and light brown with the body being a soft russet brown, it can also be identified by a cream collar. During the winter, the male's plumage is similar to the female's, but during the summer the male has black and white head and wings with a handsome orange mottled chest.
